2017 was another prolific year for British DJ and Producer Farius. Debut shows at The Gallery @ Ministry of Sound and Concorde 2 in Brighton were just two highlights of 2017, as well as being invited to guestmix for Above & Beyond on their Group Therapy radio show. As his music continues to appear on the playlists of the world’s top DJs, Farius has created his own unique distinctive sound – a powerful fusion of Progressive and Trance – proving he’s definitely a name on the rise.

Since his March 2016 debut release with Chris Bekker “London Sunrise” (on Paul Van Dyk’s Vandit label ) Farius has been supported by the world’s heavyweight tastemakers Above & Beyond, Armin Van Buuren and Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, Avicii and plenty more, whilst releasing on Zerothree, Armada and Dave Pearce's Delirium Recordings.

The London based DJ has his musical roots deeply influenced by a combination of his classical music training and his love of Trance music from his early teens. For Farius it’s all about delivering music that will create a shared moment on the dancefloor :

“As a DJ since 13 years old, and a clubber since 18, I’ve never felt more at home on a dance floor when the music creates such an atmosphere that you lose every other worry in your life at that moment and feel connected to everyone else on the dance floor, as though you are all experiencing the same feeling. It’s quite hard to describe.”

“Melody is the key for me - strong and emotional chord progressions, soaring leads, mixed with intricate and solid basslines. “

“Coming from a classical background I was always into the “big” sound. The romantic classical era was and continues to be my favourite period of classical music; incredible flowing melodies, unsubtle chord progressions, no real rules or regulations within composition. The moments when you have incredible build ups which are met with a huge wall of sound at the climax - it is on a total parallel with trance and progressive dance music. In fact I am a firm believer that trance and progressive are our modern day interpretation of classical music.”
